Japan enjoys their seasonal "illuminations" but somehow seems to miss the point with their intricate and tasteful holiday displays. I cannot seem to find multicolor twinklers, large multicolor bulbs, or entire rooftops covered in lights. Perhaps that is because only people in aircraft could enjoy rooftop displays.
This is along the Meguro River in Osaki
No matter the season the Japanese love their Cherry trees
This is more of a light show, complete with music, fog, & snow. It is
titled 'Blue Wave' and is displayed at Shiodome in Shimbashi
I guess someone likes Christmas lights more than my dad
Pretty impressive once you get into the middle of it...which is not easy when 10,000 other people want to get into the middle of it at the exact same time
Thus the name 'Blue Wave'
The waves seem to crash over the walkways during the light show
Think cross between Christmas lights and Pink Floyd concert
Amazing the time and craft that goes into just about everything here
