Matsue
Prior to Soko's wedding we had some time to explore Matsue
I Found this landscape maintenance technique interesting...

A preserved middle rank Samurai residence. The rooms at the front of the house are much larger & fancier since this is where guests were entertained
The family 'living/dining' room
off of the kitchen
Precursor to indoor plumbing. A water basin that is 1/2 inside and 1/2 outside.

"Kotatsu" or heated tables. Very nice when it is cold,
and the blankets on top keep the heat in
View of the historic Samurai area from the canal
Sunset on the canal
Crane in the canal
Aya ducking when they lower the canopy to go under a low bridge
A really low bridge
